Associate Director/Director of Program Management, Life Sciences

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end project management for active therapeutic programs, including timeline development, resource coordination, and milestone tracking
• Drive day-to-day execution discipline across product, science, machine learning, and automation teams
• Manage resource allocation and trade-off decisions across complex priorities
• Establish program-level reporting, status updates, and resource utilization views
• Proactively identify, communicate, and manage program risks
• Serve as the primary operational interface with partner organizations, coordinating joint governance and alignment
• Translate internal program status into structured updates for external partners
• Lead the development of scalable project management practices and repeatable operating models

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry (drug discovery, development, or operations)
• 5+ years in program or project management with direct responsibility for timelines and resourcing
• Strong understanding of drug discovery and development processes
• Experience managing programs with external partners and stakeholder communication
• Proven ability to influence without authority and drive alignment across cross-functional teams
• Outstanding communication skills for executive and external audiences

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AI-native or platform-based drug discovery companies
• Experience managing external collaborations (alliance management, CRO/CDMO oversight)
• Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies like critical path analysis
• Perspective on how LLMs and AI-driven science platforms impact drug discovery partnership models
