Associate Director/Director, Hedge Fund Coverage, Prime Services, Global Banking & Markets

Responsibilities

• Serve as a member of the regional hedge fund coverage team (synthetic & cash) to execute business strategies and initiatives.
• Manage client relationships regarding pricing, trading, corporate actions, hedging, risk, spread, and dividend management.
• Partner with key stakeholders including credit, risk management, product control, tax, senior management, and operations.
• Drive a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank systems and knowledge.
• Ensure all activities comply with governing regulations, internal policies, risk limits, and procedures.
• Promote Scotiabank throughout the securities finance market to position the bank for long-term growth.
• Actively cross-sell within Prime Services and other business lines to improve relationship profitability.

Requirements

• Regional trading and supervisory certifications (e.g., PRA, FCA, FINRA, FRB, or OSFI).
• Proven experience in client-facing equity cash and derivative trading.
• Strong understanding of both macro and micro market demand factors.
• Exceptional interpersonal and relationship management skills.
• University degree, CFA, or equivalent business qualification/work experience.
