Associate Director, WHOOP Labs Doha

Responsibilities

• Own the development and execution of the WHOOP Labs Doha opening strategy, including team hiring and participant compensation structures
• Champion research integrity by ensuring data collection tools and team practices align with local regulations for ethical human subjects research
• Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure program effectiveness and track progress towards goals
• Ensure clear communication and seamless ways of working between the Boston and Doha research facilities
• Represent Doha culture and unique participant experience factors in strategic conversations with the global research team
• Build the WHOOP Labs Doha brand and represent the company within the GCC region

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in psychology, neuroscience, exercise physiology, consumer science, or a related field
• 5+ years of professional experience in human subjects research
• 2+ years of experience leading a diversely skilled team
• Deep knowledge of research ethics, data privacy, consent, and the IRB approval process
• Fluency in verbal and written English
• Must currently reside in Doha, Qatar

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on a distributed international team
• Deep understanding of local culture and the ability to communicate localization considerations for research
• Proven track record of successful project management, including resource allocation and risk mitigation
• Experience with branding and marketing as it applies to industrial research spaces
