About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of Medical Affairs strategies and Plans of Action (POA) for the Oncology Therapeutic Area, focusing on US payers and key accounts.
  • Identify and develop patient access strategies and research opportunities to support scientific objectives and improve patient lives.
  • Act as the scientific and execution lead for local US oncology Patient Access and Quality of Care (PAQ) studies and projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Clinical Development, HEOR, and Real-World Evidence to address data gaps and evidence needs.
  • Develop tools, resources, and communication strategies to support the successful implementation of the POA.
  • Manage relationships with external thought leaders and coordinate efforts for key PAQ conferences and advisory programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with 10 years of experience, OR Master's Degree with 8 years of experience, OR PhD with 2 years of experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in Medical Affairs, managed care, or HEOR.
  • Extensive knowledge of the US healthcare ecosystem, payer landscape, and payer evidence requirements.
  • Ability to travel approximately 30%.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in life sciences (MD, DO, PharmD, or PhD).
  • Significant background in oncology, health outcomes, or medical affairs.
  • Demonstrated expertise in health economics and outcomes research, including writing research protocols and executing observational research.
  • Experience with successful product launches.
  • Existing professional contacts with payers, providers, advocates, or medical institutions.
