Associate Director, US Government Affairs

Responsibilities

• Monitor legislative and regulatory activities at federal, state, and local levels
• Develop key message points for senior leaders and external stakeholders
• Build and maintain relationships with government officials and industry stakeholders
• Analyze proposed legislation and prepare briefing materials
• Coordinate with legal, communications, and business teams to align government affairs with company goals
• Draft position papers, advocacy materials, and internal updates
• Manage external lobbyists to advocate for organizational positions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, International Relations, Political Science, or scientific disciplines
• Minimum 5 years of government affairs experience
• Experience translating scientific or technical content for broad audiences
• Strong knowledge of the international media ecosystem and public opinion
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to manage stakeholders in a highly matrixed, global organization
• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare sectors preferred
