Associate Director

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end ICOFR, SOX, and IFC compliance programs, including scoping, risk assessments, and control design evaluation.
• Conduct walkthroughs, process documentation, and identify control gaps with key stakeholders.
• Review and validate control design and operating effectiveness testing documentation.
• Review risk and control matrices (RCM), process narratives, and flowcharts.
• Coordinate with internal/external auditors and client stakeholders to ensure timely engagement completion.
• Provide actionable recommendations to strengthen internal control environments.
• Coach and mentor junior team members to support their professional development.
• Prepare and present reports and dashboards for senior management and audit committees.
• Contribute to business development activities, including proposal writing and client presentations.

Requirements

• Chartered Accountant (CA), MBA (Finance), CPA, or CIA qualification.
• 2–10 years of experience in SOX/IFC/ICOFR compliance, risk advisory, or internal audit.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting processes, risk management, and control evaluation.
• Hands-on experience with the COSO Framework and SOX 404.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects across different geographies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a Big 4 or major consulting firm.
• Experience with GRC tools such as Archer, SAP GRC, or MetricStream.
• Exposure to ITGCs and the automation of controls.
• Sector experience in BFSI, IT/ITeS, Manufacturing, or Pharma.
