About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of patient marketing programs and campaigns aligned with brand strategy and launch priorities.
  • Implement omnichannel patient engagement initiatives across digital, social, web, CRM, and patient support programs.
  • Manage patient disease awareness and education initiatives, including content development and partnerships with advocacy teams.
  • Drive patient identification and adherence initiatives in coordination with Patient Services and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Develop and optimize patient-facing content while ensuring alignment with brand messaging and compliance requirements.
  • Manage agency partners, day-to-day workflows, timelines, deliverables, and marketing budgets.
  • Define and track campaign performance metrics (KPIs) to optimize execution and improve outcomes.
  • Contribute to annual brand planning and tactical planning processes by incorporating the patient perspective.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare marketing experience.
  • Proven experience in patient marketing, digital marketing, or consumer engagement programs.
  • Strong understanding of the patient journey and engagement strategies in specialty or rare disease settings.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute omnichannel marketing programs and campaigns.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to travel approximately 20% to 30%.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (MBA, PharmD, PhD, or MS).
  • Experience in nephrology, rare disease, or specialty therapeutics.
  • Experience supporting product launches or major indication expansions.
  • Experience working with patient advocacy organizations and managing patient-facing programs.
  • Strong digital and data-driven marketing capabilities with experience integrating analytics into execution.
