Associate Director, Student Life

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director in managing signature events and campus-wide initiatives for the Bronx and Manhattan campuses
• Supervise professional staff, including full-time coordinators, providing mentorship and performance management
• Lead student leadership development programs and serve as co-advisor to the Mercy Student Government
• Manage Student Life Assistants, including onboarding, scheduling, and recruitment/training of the Mav Team
• Oversee student engagement platform content and reporting
• Assist with the planning and assessment of orientation programming
• Plan Senior Events in collaboration with Alumni and Commencement offices
• Serve on various campus committees to support student success and well-being

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience in a supervisory programmatic position
• At least 1 year of direct staff supervision experience
• Bachelor's degree required
• Proven ability to develop and manage programs, people, and financial resources
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse college constituencies

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in student affairs, higher education administration, or a related field
• Experience working with diverse student populations, including first-generation and transfer students
