Associate Director, Strategy and Value Capture

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage strategic transformation projects for Waters Biosciences, driving cross-functional teams toward successful outcomes.
• Support Value Capture activities and the annual Strategic Planning process in collaboration with business and function leaders.
• Facilitate workshops and prioritization exercises to define targets and meaningful KPIs.
• Identify and assess major organic and inorganic business opportunities to impact growth and profitability.
• Prepare strategic recommendations and present regular updates to senior leadership.
• Drive people development and cultural change by coaching team members and cultivating a broad professional network.

Requirements

• Advanced degree (PhD, MD, or MBA) is strongly preferred, particularly in scientific or engineering disciplines.
• Proven experience in project management and leading cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with sharp business and financial acumen.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence senior management.
• Experience in the life sciences industry (e.g., life sciences tools, diagnostics, med device, or biopharma) is strongly preferred.
• Background in management consulting is highly recommended.

• Experience managing collaborations with external consultants.
• Ability to navigate and influence within a complex, matrixed organization.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a proven track record of building professional networks.
