Associate Director Software Engineering

Responsibilities

• Act as a technical expert for critical applications used by DTCC
• Design, develop, and deploy high-quality software solutions and infrastructure
• Partner with Business Analysts and Infrastructure teams to ensure functional and hosting requirements are met
• Research and evaluate technical solutions consistent with company technology standards
• Mentor and coach junior developers in code development and production support
• Perform application performance tuning and troubleshooting to reduce issues
• Contribute to the maturation of CI/CD processes and ways of working
• Align risk and control processes into daily responsibilities to mitigate operational risk

Requirements

• 12 to 16 years of related software engineering experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
• Full stack development expertise in Java, JavaScript, Spring, and Spring Boot
• Strong proficiency in PL/SQL, Snowflake, and PostgreSQL
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD and DevOps tools including Git, Bitbucket, Maven, and Jenkins
• Working knowledge of AWS services such as S3, SQS, EC2, KMS, and RDS
• Experience with Agile development methodologies and the full SDLC
• Proficiency in software testing using frameworks like JUnit and Mockito

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Angular or other modern UI frameworks
• Familiarity with Python and Shell scripting
• Experience working with Tomcat application servers
