About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide holistic leadership and supervision for staff responsible for housing operations, administrative services, and customer engagement
  • Lead the development and implementation of efficient administrative housing policies, including facility openings/closings, maintenance coordination, and health and safety compliance
  • Serve as the primary administrator for housing software to ensure effective management of all system capabilities
  • Advance departmental risk management efforts related to data, access control, occupancy management, and emergency housing operations
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive housing communications and customer engagement strategy for students and families
  • Oversee data-informed housing assignment systems to ensure equitable and efficient processes
  • Manage departmental facilities and assets, including physical inventory, residential furniture, and vendor contracts
  • Collaborate with university partners such as Facilities Management, Public Safety, Admissions, and Dining Services to synchronize operations
  • Serve as a university hearing officer for residential conduct caseloads related to animal and damage incidents

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in higher education administration, management, business, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience
  • Experience with student information or housing management systems
  • Demonstrated ability to train, supervise, and evaluate professional and student staff
  • Commitment to justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in higher education administration, management, business, or a related field
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience translating operational data into strategic insights for departmental planning
  • Experience in mediation, intervention, problem-solving, and emergency response
  • Ability to work occasional evenings and/or weekends
