Associate Director - Regulatory

Responsibilities

• Enable efficient regulatory affairs operations for EMEA markets, specifically focusing on EU, UK, and Sub-Saharan Africa.
• Support senior leadership in identifying regulatory changes regarding finished products, chemicals, ingredients, packaging, and digital transformation.
• Manage regulatory queries from authorities and business partners.
• Lead the development of comprehensive procedures, training materials, and work instructions.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert for new product categories, including sun care, medical devices, and aerosols.
• Engage with cross-functional teams to support corporate initiatives and brand expansion.
• Represent company priorities within Trade Associations and stakeholder groups to mitigate regulatory risks.
• Communicate the business impact of regulatory developments across ingredients such as pigments, UV filters, and fragrances.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in Regulatory, Safety, Toxicology, or Product Development.
• Proven track record with Cosmetic Product Regulations, CLP, and REACH.
• Experience engaging with EU and UK regulatory authorities to resolve complex queries.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop successful teams.
• Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Toxicology, or Chemistry.
• Experience within a global, multi-category organization.
• Experience in developing and launching medical devices, home care products, or chemical mixtures.
• Experience in successful engagement across Trade Associations or stakeholder groups.
