About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of complex capital equipment and single-use device technologies within the Interventional Oncology portfolio
- Build and lead a high-performing multidisciplinary R&D and Engineering team, fostering a culture of accountability and professional development
- Define and execute R&D strategy for new medical devices and product platforms aligned with business and customer needs
- Manage the full product development lifecycle from concept through commercialization and post-market support
- Ensure effective integration between capital equipment and single-use devices, including performance, usability, and reliability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Clinical, Quality, Regulatory, Operations, and Supply Chain
- Establish and manage engineering processes for planning, prioritization, resource allocation, and risk management
- Ensure compliance with design controls, regulatory requirements, and quality standards
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field
- 10+ years of engineering or R&D experience in medical devices or a highly regulated industry
- 5+ years of people leadership experience, including leading senior engineers or technical managers
- Proven success leading new product development for complex systems combining hardware, software, and disposable components
- Strong experience with design controls, risk management, verification and validation, and manufacturing transfer
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in a matrixed organization
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading development programs for both capital equipment and single-use devices
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field
- Ability to translate clinician and user needs into clear product requirements and engineering plans
- Experience collaborating with physicians, key opinion leaders, and strategic suppliers
- Experience leading global or multi-site teams
