About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of project controls services, including cost control, scheduling, EVM, and risk management.
- Serve as the senior project controls authority on client engagements, ensuring quality and accuracy of all outputs.
- Develop and monitor detailed project schedules in Primavera P6, including critical path analysis and scenario modelling.
- Build and manage cost control frameworks, lifecycle forecasts, and budget performance reports.
- Oversee risk management processes, identifying and quantifying risks to integrate into schedules and budgets.
- Administer change control procedures for cost and schedule to maintain project baselines.
- Mentor and develop junior and intermediate project controls staff to foster technical excellence.
- Build and sustain trusted relationships with client project teams and executive sponsors.
Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive experience in project controls within engineering, consulting, or owner's organizations.
- Proven experience in capital project sectors such as energy, nuclear, infrastructure, or construction.
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 (schedule development, logic analysis, and performance tracking).
- Extensive knowledge of earned value management (EVM), cost forecasting, and change control.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Advanced Excel skills for cost modelling and bespoke reporting.
- Strong client-facing communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certifications such as PMP, PSP, CCP, or AACE International designations.
- Experience in a consulting or advisory environment with direct accountability for client relationships.
- Exposure to quantitative risk analysis, cost estimating, or PMIS platforms.
