About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the Optronics business and Carlsbad site with full P&L responsibility
- Manage a team of program management professionals to meet sales, profit, and cash goals
- Partner with enterprise leaders to capture new business and ensure execution success
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, key suppliers, and other primes
- Execute program growth strategies for both domestic and international markets
- Attract, retain, supervise, and develop top talent within the organization
- Coordinate interactions and dependencies between customers and internal functions
Requirements
- University Degree with 12+ years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with 10+ years of experience
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance
- U.S. citizenship is required
- Proven experience in program or project management leading US government or international contracts
- Experience leading proposal capture activities
- Proficiency managing cost, schedule, and financial forecasts using EVMS, IMP, or IMS
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and reporting to executive stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven success maintaining executive-level relationships with government representatives and industry peers
- Experience with high rate, high mix manufacturing oversight
- Experience working directly with customers on complex government programs
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing execution and growth strategies
