Associate Director, Professional Engagement

Responsibilities

• Aggregate, organize, and deliver foundational career tools and resources to help law students master professional fundamentals.
• Provide contemporary guidance, skills training, and coaching to ease student career anxieties and build professional confidence.
• Offer customized attention to individual learning styles and career goals through supportive, one-on-one relationships.
• Identify needs for new resources and tools to meet the challenges of diverse student populations based on research and industry trends.
• Manage student events and advise on professional behaviors, including workplace interactions and interview performance.

Requirements

• J.D. preferred, or an advanced degree in Education, Public Administration, Social Services, Psychology, Counseling, or Business Administration.
• 5 to 7 years of professional, student-facing experience in a role requiring credibility and authority.
• Broad understanding of the legal profession, including various practice disciplines and settings.
• Deep understanding of career development principles and tools.
• Demonstrated cultural competency and the ability to facilitate a culture of belonging and inclusion.
• Strong social and communication skills to build credibility with students, faculty, alumni, and employers.
