Associate Director of Search & Evaluation

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with R&D to develop and execute an External R&D strategy that supports the oncology pipeline and long-term scientific vision
• Identify and evaluate novel therapeutic assets and platform technologies to establish strategic scientific alliances and academic partnerships
• Lead end-to-end scientific evaluation and due diligence of external oncology research and early clinical opportunities
• Lead cross-functional teams across R&D, Clinical, Commercial, and Regulatory departments to ensure data-driven decision-making
• Develop and present comprehensive business cases and go/no-go recommendations to senior leadership and governance committees
• Execute scientific intelligence efforts to stay informed of emerging oncology research, competitive landscapes, and technology trends
• Expand the company's external scientific network through engagement with academic investigators, biotech partners, and key opinion leaders

Requirements

• PhD in a Life Sciences discipline (Oncology, Cancer Biology, Molecular Biology, or Immunology preferred)
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology R&D
• At least 5 years of experience in R&D Business Development or an equivalent role within Oncology
• Demonstrated experience managing external research collaborations, academic partnerships, or early-stage biotech engagements
• Deep understanding of oncology drug discovery, development, and translational research
• Strong scientific judgment and the ability to communicate complex data to scientific and senior leadership stakeholders
• Proven ability to work effectively in a matrixed, cross-functional environment
