About the role
Responsibilities
- Supervise, plan, and coordinate professional and paraprofessional staff including Area Coordinators and Resident Assistants
- Support the development of residence life programs promoting academic success and student well-being
- Manage budgets and coordinate assessment processes such as student satisfaction surveys
- Serve on the CARE Team and respond to emergency or crisis situations
- Mediate student conflicts and assist in the development of housing policies
- Oversee recruitment, training, and professional development for student staff
Requirements
- Master's degree in Student Personnel, Higher Education Administration, or a related field
- Three years of full-time post-masters experience
- Full-time experience in a residence life live-in or live-on position
- Strong organizational, administrative, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to maintain a professional demeanor in difficult situations
Preferred Qualifications
- Five years of full-time post-masters experience
- Previous experience as a Hall Director or Area Coordinator
- Previous experience supervising professional staff
