About the Company

Democracy Prep Public Schools is a college prep institution dedicated to educating scholars for success in college and a life of active citizenship. The DP Empowered program serves over 2,000 students across five high schools, combining whole-class instruction with personalized 1:1 advising to develop customized postsecondary pathways.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor DP Empowered Faculty across all five high schools
• Review, refine, and develop instructional materials and curriculum frameworks
• Provide ongoing professional development for faculty to ensure consistent pedagogical approaches
• Co-develop experiential learning opportunities and interdisciplinary programming
• Build systems for scaling high-quality instruction across the school network
• Manage program budget, staffing, timelines, and technology systems
• Monitor program effectiveness and drive data-informed decision making

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years leading educational programs at scale
• Proven experience building sustainable curriculum frameworks and strategic initiatives
• Strong background in instructional leadership and student services
• Exceptional people-management and cross-departmental coordination skills
• Deep understanding of college access, identity development, and experiential learning
• Bachelor's degree required

Preferred Qualifications

• MSW or MSEd in School Counseling
