Responsibilities

• Provide regular support to school-based Special Services Managers to ensure implementation of compliance systems
• Review case management practices, documentation, and service tracking for legal alignment
• Identify compliance risks and partner with leaders to address issues
• Oversee DOE/CSE processes including evaluations, timelines, and mandated meetings
• Manage network compliance systems and data platforms including SESIS, ATS, and Galaxy
• Design and execute regular compliance audits across schools
• Oversee operational processes such as Special Education Per Pupil invoicing, 504 coordination, and transportation coordination
• Design and deliver professional development for school-based staff on case management and DOE system usage

Requirements

• Deep expertise in IDEA, Section 504, NYSED regulations, and NYC DOE/CSE processes
• Proven track record as a Special Services leader ensuring compliance and operational excellence
• Strong systems thinking and organizational skills
• Ability to translate complex compliance requirements into actionable guidance
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to audit readiness
