About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage the operational and business direction of Perioperative Services, including Operating Suites, CSSD, Day of Surgery Admissions, and Short Stay Unit
- Drive clinical excellence, theatre utilisation, growth, and business development
- Lead teams through change, fostering a culture of engagement, resilience, and continuous improvement
- Manage human and material resources to ensure cost-efficient service delivery while maintaining high standards of safe patient care
- Ensure clinical service delivery complies with legislated requirements, industry codes of practice, and organisational policies
Requirements
- Extensive leadership experience within Perioperative Services across all relevant service areas
- Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, including public speaking ability
- Proven ability to build rapport and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Experience in resource management to meet organisational requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Postgraduate qualification in Perioperative nursing or management
