Associate Director of Career Services and Professional Practice

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to identify and maintain relationships with external partners to secure high-profile industry placements for students.
• Execute 9 to 12 annual career services events focused on Real Estate Development.
• Provide student advising, including practical training in job search techniques, résumé writing, interview skills, and salary negotiation.
• Identify and post 300 to 400 real estate-specific career opportunities annually in the GSAPP Gateway.
• Manage the collection, maintenance, and reporting of placement data.
• Oversee the MSRED internship course and maintain the annual mentorship program for alumni and students.
• Organize and administer travel for the MSRED program, including study trips.
• Implement strategies to secure and retain corporate sponsors for program events and conferences.
• Assist with admissions processes, including application review and student outreach.
• Assist in developing budget requests and ensuring compliance with university, state, and federal regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of four years of relevant experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Computer literacy and experience with funds management.
• Ability to exercise good independent judgment, work under pressure, and work without direct supervision.
• Ability to quickly acquire detailed knowledge of University policies, procedures, and systems.
