Associate Director

Responsibilities

• Oversee departmental operations for student and family services, recruitment, and financial aid outreach.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for complex, multi-departmental student service issues and escalations.
• Lead training initiatives for financial aid customer service staff and advisors to support service excellence.
• Coordinate financial aid outreach activities, including Open Houses, orientations, and college fairs.
• Manage the Federal Work-Study Program, including hiring, compliance monitoring, and budget oversight.
• Oversee athletic scholarship processing and ensure compliance with NCAA regulations and university policies.
• Identify operational challenges and implement process improvements through collaboration and technology.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s degree preferred).
• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in a higher education financial aid office.
• Proven supervisory and leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of Title IV federal financial aid regulations.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with ERP systems and enterprise technology platforms.
• Strong analytical and data management skills.
• Ability to translate business needs into technology-driven solutions.
• Experience in public speaking and managing multiple high-priority projects.
