About the role
Responsibilities
- Engage in continuous learning to maintain high-level technical expertise in GI and Thoracic Oncology.
- Act as a primary interface between Lilly medical and scientific experts to deliver unbiased, accurate, and up-to-date medical information.
- Implement and evaluate strategic territory plans to maximize efficiency and customer engagement.
- Synthesize and communicate actionable clinical insights to internal Lilly medical and cross-functional teams.
- Cultivate internal networks and collaborate effectively with field-based colleagues to create a coordinated customer experience.
- Execute all activities in a compliant manner, adhering to all internal and external governing requirements and laws.
Requirements
- Advanced degree in health sciences (e.g., PharmD, MD, PhD) in a medically related field.
- 2-3 years of relevant clinical or therapeutic area experience (or 5+ years of clinical/research experience with a Bachelor's or Master's degree).
- Residency in the New England geography (Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, or Connecticut).
- Ability to travel up to 80% and work up to 4 to 6 weekends per year.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
- Proximity to a major transport hub (airport or train station).
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience in Gastrointestinal and/or Thoracic Oncology therapeutic areas.
- Strong intellectual curiosity and learning agility regarding complex scientific content.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects independently in a field-based environment.
- Advanced presentation, computer, and literature identification skills.
- High emotional intelligence and experience in professional relationship building and networking.
