About the role
Responsibilities
- Identify, build, and maintain strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), clinicians, and research leaders within the assigned region.
- Provide scientific education regarding disease state awareness and clinical data to support genomic-guided therapy decisions.
- Facilitate advanced education regarding products in the hematology, oncology, and pathology communities through scientific exchange and presentations.
- Coordinate involvement in national, regional, and local scientific forums, including symposia and tumor boards.
- Develop scientific materials such as slide decks, white papers, monographs, and clinical synopses.
- Integrate with Medical Affairs to organize scientific advisory boards and coordinate clinical trials.
- Gather market intelligence on competitor products and emerging developments.
- Respond to complex scientific and genomic inquiries from healthcare providers.
- Travel within the assigned territory 70%+ of the time.
Requirements
- Master's degree in health sciences, medicine, nursing, or genetics with 7+ years of MSL experience in life sciences (diagnostic, biotech, or pharma).
- OR an advanced scientific/healthcare degree (PhD, PharmD, DNP) with 4+ years of MSL experience in life sciences.
- Proven experience in Oncology.
- Willingness to travel 70%+ of the working time.
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD, MD, DNP, or PharmD.
- Advanced subject matter expertise in cancer genomics and biomarker/therapeutic development.
- Existing KOL relationships within the assigned territory.
- Expertise in market analysis, market access strategy, and territory planning.
- Familiarity with CLIA, LDT, and AdvaMed Guidelines.
- Deep understanding of cancer patient management algorithms and the clinical utility of molecular tests.
