Associate Director - Math (Elementary)

Responsibilities

• Teach the AoPS curriculum in dynamic, participation-oriented classes, actively engaging students and managing the classroom.
• Participate in the hiring and training of part-time staff and teachers.
• Assist with the campus’s administrative, logistical, and customer service operations.
• Support campus enrollment and sales efforts by meeting with prospective families to assess student academic ability and program fit.
• Counsel current students and families to provide necessary academic and social support.
• Design and implement campus community-building activities to support high student retention and a strong campus culture.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required, strongly preferred in education or a field closely related to math and language arts.
• Strong content knowledge in both math and language arts.
• Minimum 1-year teaching experience; experience with advanced K-12 students is preferred.
• Strong organizational and priority management skills.
• Ability to work a nontraditional schedule, including evenings and weekends during the academic year.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree related to math or language arts.
• Experience coaching or collaborating with other instructors.
• Proven experience in classroom management and pedagogical leadership.
