Associate Director, Market Access Contracting

Responsibilities

• Negotiate and manage market access contracts across various distribution channels, including Specialty Pharmacies, GPOs, Hospitals, IDNs, and Wholesalers.
• Lead the development, negotiation, and execution of contract documents in partnership with Legal, Trade Channel Management, and Market Access Strategy teams.
• Serve as a subject matter expert and strategic advisor to internal stakeholders, providing insights to drive contracting decisions.
• Oversee the tracking of contract activity from inception through final execution to ensure timely implementation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to assess contract risks and benefits and ensure proper system set-up of pricing terms and payments.
• Contribute to process improvements through the evaluation of automation and AI integration in contract management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required (MBA is desirable).
• 5+ years of experience in the US pharmaceutical industry, specifically focused on contracting, pricing, or market access.
• Proven negotiation skills and the ability to influence matrixed teams and external stakeholders.
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
