Associate Director, Manufacturing

Responsibilities

• Oversee production, sanitation, operations training, and staff scheduling for a team of over 300 employees
• Direct plant operations with a focus on operating efficiency (OEE) and SQF production
• Implement and sustain a Lean manufacturing culture
• Manage departmental budgets, labor costs, and operating expenses
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, USDA, and food safety regulations
• Partner with R&D, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Engineering to support business objectives

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, animal science, industrial engineering, business, or a related field
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing
• Strong understanding of OSHA, USDA, and food safety regulations
• Proven experience in yield, labor, and plant efficiency management
• Demonstrated success in continuous improvement and change management
• Ability to travel 10% and work nights/weekends

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in meat processing
• Bilingual skills (English & Portuguese or English & Spanish)
• Past experience as a Maintenance or Operations Manager
