Associate Director, Manufacturing

Responsibilities

• Oversee the ramp-up and ongoing operations of battery cell manufacturing from prototype to high-volume production
• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team of managers, supervisors, technicians, and operators
• Develop and implement manufacturing KPIs for safety, cost, performance, and efficiency
• Support the deployment of active management tools like SCADA to enhance operational control
• Drive continuous improvement through operational excellence initiatives and achieve AOP milestones
• Manage the operational budget and achieve cost targets through lean manufacturing and kaizen events
• Partner with product development, finance, manufacturing engineering, and EHS departments
• Apply lean manufacturing principles to reduce scrap and optimize resource utilization
• Collaborate with executive leadership to develop plant and department strategic plans

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• 10+ years of experience in construction management
• At least 5 years of experience on large, complex projects
• Strong project management skills including budget and plan implementation
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA degree
• Experience with brownfield or greenfield sites
• Knowledge of Automotive Regulations, EV Batteries, or Energy
• Experience with Complex Site Construction
