Associate Director, Life & Annuity Product Systems

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of actuarial systems analysts in the design, implementation, and support of life insurance and annuity products
• Serve as a subject matter expert in product setup, policy mechanics, and calculations across multiple systems
• Define and clarify product implementation challenges and recommend solutions
• Oversee the creation of test tools and plans to validate product rates and values
• Manage performance, develop talent, and foster a high-performing team
• Build partnerships with other business units and communicate complex calculations to stakeholders
• Represent the team in enterprise forums and advocate for team priorities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, finance, computer science, or a related field
• Minimum of 11 years of related work experience (or 8 years with an advanced degree)
• Demonstrated leadership skills in team development and performance management
• Strong understanding of life and annuity product mechanics
• Ability to interpret policy forms, product specifications, and insurance regulations
• Experience with Policy Administration and/or Illustration Systems for Life Insurance & Annuities
• Robust Excel capabilities and proficiency in MS Office
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Mastery of product mechanics including UL, IUL, whole life cash value, and death benefit calculations
• Proficiency in SQL and Alteryx
