Associate Director, Leadership Giving

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of alumni, parents, and families to qualify, cultivate, and solicit leadership-level gifts between $1,000 and $100,000.
• Execute substantive face-to-face or virtual contacts (10-12 per month) to build a pipeline for the Oxy Fund, Planned Giving, and Major Gifts.
• Drive fundraising for College priorities, including unrestricted funds, financial aid, and scholarships.
• Develop and oversee alumni fundraising strategies to increase participation and lifelong engagement.
• Recruit and lead volunteer committees to drive philanthropic initiatives and affinity-based fundraising.
• Document all donor activity, including visits, calls, and contact reports, within the departmental database.
• Collaborate with Alumni and Parent Engagement teams to plan and organize affiliation-specific events.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Five years of experience in professional development or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of fundraising principles and individual giving programs.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other productivity tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to travel up to 60% of the time.
• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in higher education fundraising or a performance-based environment with tracked metrics.
• Proven track record of initiating high volumes of development visits and personally securing gifts.
