About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary analytics lead for Sony Music Nashville and Provident Label Group, influencing strategic decision-making for high-level executives.
- Evaluate track, album, and artist performance by analyzing consumer data, social insights, charts, and streaming metrics.
- Respond to ad-hoc analytics requests regarding new releases, artist audiences, commercial strategies, and competitive campaigns.
- Lead the execution and presentation of recurring analyses, including release forecasting, consumption reports, and industry trends.
- Assist in transitioning existing reports to new internal platforms and leveraging AI to drive operational efficiencies.
- Act as the primary data expert for the label, ensuring data integrity and championing data education across the organization.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of experience working with data.
- Expertise in writing SQL and working with relational databases.
- Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Streamlit, or Sigma.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to identify trends in large datasets.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting insights to label executives and stakeholders.
- A collaborative, customer-service-oriented mentality and a passion for the music industry.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Python.
- Experience with Alteryx.
