Associate Director, Hub- IP Operations

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee global IP operations for patents and trademarks, ensuring operational excellence across the entire lifecycle.
• Manage a team providing support for renewals, annuities, maintenance filings, oppositions, and ownership updates.
• Oversee global IP docketing operations, deadline monitoring, and the maintenance of audit-ready IP records.
• Administer and optimize IP management systems, such as Anaqua, to ensure data integrity and governance.
• Coordinate with external counsel, foreign associates, and vendors regarding filings, invoicing, and prosecution.
• Drive process standardization, automation opportunities, and SOP development to improve service delivery.
• Develop operational dashboards and portfolio metrics to provide leadership with actionable insights.
• Partner with legal experts, procurement, finance, and technology stakeholders to support global IP strategy.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Intellectual Property, Science, Engineering, or Business Administration.
• 15+ years of relevant experience in IP Operations, IP Administration, or IP Portfolio Management.
• Extensive experience managing global patent and trademark portfolios within a multinational or shared services environment.
• Proven track record of managing IP renewals, annuities, docketing, and external counsel.
• Demonstrated experience in leading and developing high-performing operational teams.
• Strong expertise in IP management platforms, specifically Anaqua or equivalent systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, FMCG, or life sciences industries.
• Specialized certification in Intellectual Property Management or Legal Operations.
• Experience leading IP operational transitions, migrations, or system implementations.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data reporting tools.
• Strong background in IP invoicing, accrual management, and vendor billing coordination.
