Associate Director - Health & Safety

Responsibilities

• Provide competent advice, guidance, and support on construction and design health and safety matters
• Act as Principal Designer on capable sites, coordinating design team meetings and assisting with H&S arrangements
• Advise clients on CDM Regulations and relevant H&S requirements for construction projects
• Conduct site inspections to assess performance and identify compliance actions
• Audit client supply chains and management systems for CDM 2015 compliance
• Develop and nurture industry relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners
• Deliver health and safety training sessions to clients and internal audiences
• Support business development through technical articles, speaking engagements, and bid support

Requirements

• Degree or Masters in H&S, Environmental, or Engineering
• Chartered Member of the Institute of Safety & Health (CMIOSH) or working towards it
• Multi-sector construction experience
• Relevant industry membership (e.g., APS, IOB, CQI)
• Strong programme and project management skills
• Commercial awareness to identify and pursue business opportunities
