Associate Director, Health Economics & Outcomes Research

Responsibilities

• Lead the dissemination of real-world evidence (RWE) to external stakeholders, including US payers and health systems, to support product reimbursement and value demonstration.
• Implement US HEOR strategies that demonstrate the scientific evidence and value of Alexion products to key decision-makers.
• Build collaborative relationships with cross-functional leaders across Commercial, Market Access, and Medical Affairs to maximize evidence generation.
• Cultivate strong business relationships with population health decision-makers within an assigned geography.
• Deliver presentations regarding disease-related information and healthcare economic data to targeted payers and clinical institutions.
• Gather field insights to identify market access issues, demand hurdles, and evidence gaps.

Requirements

• Doctoral degree in science or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of experience in a medical field-facing role.
• Thorough understanding of RWE generation and the applicability of various US datasets and data collection methods.
• Strong knowledge of the US market access landscape and the healthcare environment.
• Understanding of the drug development and commercialization process.
• Proven ability to lead and deliver results in a matrix environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Ability to travel within the assigned territory as required by the field-based nature of the role.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in a Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) field role.
• Experience and knowledge regarding rare disease conditions.
