Associate Director, Global Scientific Communications

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic and operational delivery of global publication plans, including manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and congress presentations
• Oversee the creation of high-quality scientific content and ensure alignment with scientific communication strategies and lifecycle plans
• Serve as the primary Client and Project Manager, managing timelines, budgets, and resources for multiple concurrent projects
• Ensure all scientific communications comply with GPP, ICMJE, and other global publication ethics standards
• Manage and mentor medical/scientific writers and publication managers to build high-performing teams
• Contribute to Global Medical Affairs strategies and drive innovation through the integration of digital tools and platforms
• Cultivate trusted partnerships with client stakeholders to support strategic account growth

Requirements

• Medical or Scientific degree (PharmD, MD, PhD, or equivalent)
• 5+ years of experience in medical or scientific communications
• Proven experience in publications planning, development, and execution
• Deep knowledge of GPP and ICMJE guidelines
• Proficiency in Veeva Systems and various publication/reference management software
• Experience conducting literature searches using PubMed, Ovid, or Embase

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Medical Publication Professional (CMPP) certification
• Experience developing medical content for Field Medical, Medical Information, or Medical Advisory Boards
• Demonstrated ability to manage multi-client projects in a fast-paced, Agile environment
• Strong passion for technology, innovation (including AI), and process improvement
