Associate Director, Global Category Sourcing

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement global sourcing category strategies and value generation plans to support Medical Affairs and Marketing functions.
• Manage the strategic sourcing process from supplier evaluation through contract negotiation, compliance, and performance management.
• Identify and manage strategic business relationships with key stakeholders in Marketing and Medical Affairs.
• Partner with cross-functional teams including Legal, Finance, and IT to ensure collaborative communication and information sharing.
• Drive a Total Cost of Ownership culture and implement Supplier Performance Management to foster innovation and continuous improvement.
• Support compliance with key controls, FCPA, local laws, and spend transparency requirements.
• Actively support diversity initiatives to expand relationships and spend with Diverse Suppliers.

Requirements

• BA/BS in Operations, Finance, Business, or a comparable discipline.
• 7+ years of progressive global procurement experience managing marketing, medical affairs, or R&D categories.
• Proven experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including medical affairs, marketing, or R&D.
• Experience working with Clinical Research Organizations (CROs) or managing research projects conducted by CROs.
• Experience with R&D Clinical Trials, Medical Evidence studies, or Real-World Evidence (RWE) generation.
• Understanding of epidemiological study designs and real-world healthcare data.
• Strong relationship-building skills with a track record of managing internal and external client relationships.

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA degree.
• CPSM certification.
