About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end operational readiness and Government Soft Landings programmes to ensure assets are safe and compliant at handover
  • Provide strategic oversight across multiple projects and act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders
  • Develop comprehensive Operational Readiness Plans including governance, KPIs, and risk management
  • Act as the key interface between project, engineering, construction, and operations teams
  • Lead FM mobilisation, including service partner procurement, onboarding, and performance frameworks
  • Oversee asset information handover and ensure integration into CAFM/IWMS systems
  • Ensure full statutory and regulatory compliance, including fire and life safety
  • Drive growth of the Operational Readiness service line through business development and bid leadership
  • Line manage and develop consultants to build capability in FM advisory
  • Manage project financials to ensure profitability and commercial performance

Requirements

  • Extensive experience delivering FM Operational Readiness or mobilisation programmes
  • Strong understanding of asset handover, commissioning, and transition into operations
  • Expertise in CAFM / IWMS systems and asset data management
  • Deep knowledge of FM operations, compliance, and maintenance strategies (e.g., SFG20)
  • Proven ability to lead design reviews and readiness assurance activities
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influence skills at senior levels
  • Degree qualified in a relevant discipline
  • Professional accreditation such as IWFM, RICS, or CIBSE is desirable
  • Proven leadership experience within FM advisory or consultancy
  • Experience in business development and winning work
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
