Associate Director, Engineering Sciences- Biomedical

Responsibilities

• Lead complex biomedical engineering investigations involving orthopaedic implants, surgical instruments, medical devices, and combination products
• Conduct root cause analyses using advanced measurement, imaging, and experimental techniques
• Advise clients on device design, performance, and regulatory compliance regarding FDA, EU MDR, and ISO standards
• Prepare technical reports, expert statements, and evidence for litigation, regulatory, and risk management purposes
• Provide thought leadership and represent the practice in professional and standards committees such as ASTM, BSI, and XCT societies
• Drive business development efforts to expand the practice’s client base

Requirements

• PhD in Electrical Engineering, Bio-Metrology, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field
• Proven track record in standards development and participation in professional committees
• Strong technical leadership, project management, and mentoring experience in academic or applied research environments
• Experience preparing technical reports for regulatory or legal purposes
• Outstanding communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical findings for non-technical audiences
