About the role
Responsibilities
- Design and develop analytical pipelines for the acquisition, synchronization, fusion, and analysis of multimodal wearable and biomechanical sensor data.
- Collect and interpret biomechanical and physiological data from laboratory and real-world environments regarding human gait, locomotion, and motor control.
- Develop algorithms, software tools, and analytical workflows for wearable sensor applications.
- Work extensively with sensing modalities including IMUs, PPG, GSR/EDA, EMG, and wearable force/pressure systems.
- Apply signal processing, sensor fusion, statistical modeling, and AI/ML methodologies (predictive analytics, pattern recognition, and human activity recognition) to complex datasets.
- Support the validation of wearable technologies against laboratory-based gold-standard systems.
- Create technical reports, visualizations, and dashboards to communicate findings to multidisciplinary teams and clients.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Biomechanics, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Kinesiology, Bioengineering, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Strong background in human movement analysis, signal processing, and advanced data analytics.
- Experience with wearable biomechanical and physiological sensing technologies.
- Experience conducting or supporting human-subject studies.
- Proficiency in scientific computing and programming using Python, MATLAB, R, or C/C++.
- Experience processing and analyzing large-scale time-series datasets.
