About the role

Responsibilities

  • Teach the AoPS curriculum in dynamic, participation-oriented Elementary level classes.
  • Partner with the Campus Director on the hiring and training of part-time staff and teachers.
  • Assist with campus administrative, logistical, and customer service operations.
  • Support enrollment and sales efforts by meeting with prospective families to assess student fit.
  • Counsel current students and families to provide academic and program support.
  • Design and implement campus community-building activities to support student retention and culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required (strongly preferred in education or a related field).
  • Strong content knowledge in Math or Language Arts.
  • Minimum 1-year teaching experience.
  • Strong organizational and priority management skills.
  • Ability to work a nontraditional schedule during the academic year (evenings and weekends).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree related to the subject area.
  • Experience working with advanced K-12 students.
  • Exceptional communication skills and pedagogical instincts for coaching other instructors.
