Associate Director EHS

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement site-wide EHS strategies aligned with corporate goals and regulatory requirements.
• Serve as the subject matter expert on EHS matters, including hazardous chemical management and ethylene oxide (EtO) sterilization processes.
• Lead, mentor, and develop EHS staff and cross-functional teams.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, FIFRA, NESHAP, and applicable state/local regulations.
• Oversee compliance related to EtO use, including emissions control, monitoring, and reporting.
• Manage environmental programs including air emissions, wastewater, hazardous waste, and stormwater.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
• Promote a strong safety culture through employee engagement and safety committees.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in environmental health and safety, occupational safety, environmental science, or a related field.
• 8-12+ years of progressive EHS experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience managing regulatory compliance programs and audits.
• Experience conducting incident investigations and regulatory audits.
• Deep knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and environmental regulations.
• Strong data analysis and reporting skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related field.
• Professional certifications such as CSP, ASP, or CHMM.
• Experience with EHS management systems such as ISO 14001 or ISO 45001.
