About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement site-wide EHS strategies aligned with corporate goals and regulatory requirements.
- Serve as the subject matter expert on EHS matters, including hazardous chemical management and ethylene oxide (EtO) sterilization processes.
- Lead, mentor, and develop EHS staff and cross-functional teams.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, FIFRA, NESHAP, and applicable state/local regulations.
- Oversee compliance related to EtO use, including emissions control, monitoring, and reporting.
- Manage environmental programs including air emissions, wastewater, hazardous waste, and stormwater.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
- Promote a strong safety culture through employee engagement and safety committees.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in environmental health and safety, occupational safety, environmental science, or a related field.
- 8-12+ years of progressive EHS experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience managing regulatory compliance programs and audits.
- Experience conducting incident investigations and regulatory audits.
- Deep knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and environmental regulations.
- Strong data analysis and reporting skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CSP, ASP, or CHMM.
- Experience with EHS management systems such as ISO 14001 or ISO 45001.
