Responsibilities

• Lead from the bench in a hands-on, wet lab-focused role to drive programs from hit finding through early discovery
• Independently design, develop and execute a broad array of cell-based assays to interrogate GPCR function and signaling
• Collaborate cross-functionally with computational, chemistry and protein science colleagues to design novel screening assays
• Lead program(s) and manage/mentor junior scientists
• Contribute to project and department strategy and bridge discovery biology efforts with pharmacology and translational sciences
• Communicate findings with program teams and present at project and company-wide meetings

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Biology or related field
• 8+ years of industry experience
• Significant hands-on experience in cell-based assay development, execution and interpretation (functional, target engagement, kinetic, plate-based, flow cytometry, high content imaging)
• Demonstrated success leading exploratory and early discovery projects
• Experience managing direct reports and mentoring junior scientists
