Associate Director, Development

Responsibilities

• Proactively cultivate, solicit, and steward a major gift portfolio ($50,000+) to support the Faculty of Law
• Meet face-to-face with current and potential donors to discuss giving interests and opportunities
• Contribute to strategic planning processes to develop programs that deepen donor engagement
• Lead all stages of proposal development and produce complex donor reports
• Develop and implement customized campaign strategies and individualized stewardship programs
• Supervise Senior Development Officers and Development Officers as directed
• Manage projects involving senior-level volunteers and divisional staff

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or an acceptable combination of equivalent experience
• 6-7 years of directly related experience in a senior fundraising role
• Demonstrated success in major gift development ($50,000+)
• Experience managing senior-level volunteers
• Experience supervising staff, preferably within a unionized environment
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical, organizational, and relationship-building skills
