Associate Director, Design

Responsibilities

• Research and create mood boards and trend boards with a focus on retail trends
• Strategize and execute merchandise concepts for tour, e-commerce, and retail distribution channels
• Develop design concepts that align with client history, current events, and business objectives
• Create detailed, production-ready tech packs including specific colors, techniques, and sizing
• Partner with the Creative Director and freelance artists to develop product lines
• Create brand design style guides and social media marketing assets
• Review all projects to ensure brief requirements are met and artwork is original or cleared for use

Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
• Strong understanding of current pop culture trends within licensed IP, music, and sports industries
• Proven experience creating production-ready tech packs
• Ability to create and uphold brand design style guides
• Must be based locally in the Los Angeles area to attend onsite client meetings
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple assignments with high quality
