Associate Director, Curriculum and Teaching for Pre-College

Responsibilities

• Manage curriculum, instructors, and program creation for the Pre-College portfolio, including the Youth in STEM initiative.
• Supervise instructors and high school course assistants, ensuring high-quality instruction through classroom observations and professional development.
• Oversee the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of instructors and course assistants.
• Drive strategic planning for program offerings by analyzing market demand and domestic/international trends.
• Manage the Youth in STEM (YIS) initiative, including redesigning program outcomes and designing student research-based STEM programs.
• Coordinate with Admissions, Marketing, and Student Affairs to support recruitment and address student or parent concerns.
• Oversee administrative tasks including budget narratives, classroom assignments, and compliance with safety regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• Four years of related professional experience.
• Two years of teaching experience at the high school or middle school level in a STEM-related field.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends, particularly during the summer.
• Ability to be on campus every day during summer programs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a STEM-related field.
• Five years of teaching experience at the high school or middle school level.
• Experience working with pre-college programs at the University level.
• Experience designing and leading professional development for educators or related coaching experience.
