About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead commercial and financial delivery for large-scale, complex data center construction programs.
- Oversee end-to-end cost management, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Act as a senior leadership advisor and primary point of contact for commercial status and reporting.
- Lead procurement strategy, contractor pricing reviews, and change order negotiations.
- Manage and mentor a cost management team, driving performance and professional development.
- Provide cost risk analysis, contingency planning, and mitigation strategies.
- Interface with clients, stakeholders, and consultants at all project stages to ensure alignment.
- Drive best practices in cost management processes, tools, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related discipline.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in cost management, quantity surveying, or commercial management.
- Proven track record of delivering services on large-scale, complex, multi-phase construction programs.
- Strong consultancy background with demonstrated client-facing and advisory experience.
- Expertise in quantity surveying, cost planning, procurement, and commercial management principles.
- Strong understanding of contract administration, change management, and cost control methodologies.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills with strong commercial acumen.
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate degree in quantity surveying, construction management, or engineering.
- Professional accreditation such as RICS or equivalent.
- Experience in fast-paced, high-value capital project environments with multiple concurrent workstreams.
