Associate Director, Corporate Counsel, Product and Commercial

Responsibilities

• Counsel internal stakeholders regarding advertising, promotion, external communications, and sales and marketing initiatives.
• Serve as the Legal reviewer across MLR committees for assigned products and disease states.
• Independently draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts to support the Commercial organization.
• Advise on potential legal issues and risk mitigation regarding product liability, anti-trust, and healthcare regulations including anti-kickback and false claims act statutes.
• Partner with the Global Compliance & Ethics Program to provide counseling and training on compliance policies.
• Assist with periodic compliance risk assessments and investigations of alleged violations of corporate policies or laws.
• Prepare briefing documents for Executive Management regarding industry trends, OIG and FDA enforcement, and regulatory changes.

Requirements

• JD degree and an active bar license.
• 3-7 years of legal or compliance experience within a law firm or the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry.
• Experience with the AdPromo framework and serving as a reviewer on MLR committees.
• Proven experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Strong understanding of FDA and OIG guidance, as well as industry codes like PhRMA.
• Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills with the ability to work across complex regulatory environments.
