About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct research and fact-finding by reviewing technical documentation, including construction schedules, blueprints, engineering drawings, and financial data.
- Perform detailed data analysis on large datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and causes of cost and schedule overruns.
- Quantify construction delays and damages using advanced analytical methods to calculate schedule impacts and cost overruns.
- Draft sections of expert reports, translating complex technical data into clear, concise narratives for litigation and arbitration.
- Perform economic modeling to determine lost profits resulting from project delays.
- Manage facets of small to medium-sized engagements, including staff supervision, client interaction, and work plan development.
- Support business development through proposal creation, client presentations, and active participation in marketing events.
- Assist executives in developing case strategies for individual litigation and arbitration matters.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in building construction, engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in construction project management, scheduling, or cost controls.
- 3+ years of experience in dispute consulting, specifically leading on cases.
- Proficiency in MS Project, Primavera P3/P6, and Suretrak.
- Strong command of delay analysis methodologies, including static delay analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience drafting reports for legal proceedings.
- Proven ability to mentor junior staff and oversee their work product.
- Ability to communicate highly technical material to non-technical audiences.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
- Authorization to work in the US without future sponsorship.
