Associate Director, Construction Cost Management/Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities

• Lead estimating and cost planning activities across multiple concurrent projects.
• Act as the primary client interface, coordinating with stakeholders, designers, and contractors.
• Manage cost control processes including valuations, change orders, and contingency tracking.
• Provide commercial input into procurement strategies, value engineering, and design development.
• Lead procurement and tendering processes, including bid evaluation and contractor negotiations.
• Produce detailed cost reports, forecasts, and funding updates for senior stakeholders.
• Mentor and manage team members to drive professional development and performance.
• Oversee financial performance of commissions, including margin tracking and forecasting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 8+ years of experience in cost management or quantity surveying within the construction industry.
• Proven experience delivering cost management services for complex commercial real estate portfolios.
• Strong expertise in estimating, cost planning, procurement, and contract administration.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and client-facing skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a consultancy environment.
• RICS chartership or active progress toward accreditation.
